Love the fire place now it has been installed. Very efficient in the amount of wood it burns and is great the way you can put a large block of wood on the fire and close the vent down to slow the consumption of wood during the day when you're at work or at night when you're asleep.
I strongly recommend not ordering one with the nickel legs unless you can wait an extra month / month and half for the legs to come over from Canada.

We purchased the Osburn 1000 from MR stoves at Darra, They showed complete professionalism in their dealing with us from initial contact to after install. We have only just 'burned in' with small fires but are very happy with our unit already.

* For wood, all calculations are based on a full cord measuring 1,2 m X 1,2 m X 2,4 m (4 ft X 4 ft X 8 ft). In certain regions of Canada, we call a cord what is in fact a third of a cord: 0,4 m X 1,2 m X 2,4 m (16 in X 4 ft X 8 ft). If what you buy is a third of a cord, multiply the price by 3. For the efficiency variable, we assume in our calculations that the stove used is one tested according to the EPA or CSA B415.1 standards.
